There are many different ways to Travel to Sweden. The fastest way of getting to and from Swedish capital is, of course, by air. The transport system in the country is well established.

Swedish capital has direct connections with a lot of cities in the whole world. Many airway companies take direct flights to and from the capital. Three airports serve the city: Arlanda, Bromma and Skavsta.

  • TRAVEL BY AIR

ARLANDA AIRPORT - THE MAIN GATEWAY TO STOCKHOLM SWEDEN
Arlanda is situated to the north of the city and lies on the E4 motorway. It has 4 terminals, a business-trade center, hotels, car parking. You get there by following ways.
By Bus: One can get to there by Flygbussarna airport coach which leaves every 10 minutes from the City Central Terminal. It will take approximately 30-35 minutes to reach the Airport. The ticket costs 99 Kr. Children under 16 can travel by Flygbussarna airport coach free of charge.
By Train: Another way to get to Arlanda airport is to use the rail connection. The Arlanda Express will take you direct to the airport from the Central Station - "T-Centralen" - which is situated near the City Central Terminal. These trains leave the Central Station 4-6 times an hour and the transportation takes about 15-20 minutes. The price is 200 Kr (free for children accompanied by a person with a full-paid ticket).

Domestic flights are operated from the Term. 3 and Term. 4.
International flights are operated from Term. 2 and Term. 5.

THE AIRPORT OF BROMMA
Bromma Airport is the second largest air harbour that serves Stockholm. It is situated about 10 km away from the capital. Many domestic flights are available from Bromma airport. The only international flights that are available from the airport are flights to Belgium and Denmark.
One can get to Bromma Stockholm airport by Flygbussarna airport coach which leaves from the Stockholm City Terminal. It will take approximately 20 minutes to reach the airport of Bromma. The ticket costs 99 Kr. Children under 16 can travel by Flygbussarna airport coach free of charge (free for children accompanied by a person with a full-paid ticket).

SKAVSTA AIRPORT
The airport of Skavsta has regular domestic and international flights from and to Stockholm. Skavsta is situated to the south of Stockholm at the range of about 100 km.
One can get to Skavsta Stockholm by Flygbussarna airport coach which leaves every 20 minutes from Stockholm City Central Terminal. It will take approximately 80 minutes to reach Skavsta airport. The ticket costs 150 Kr. Children under 12 can travel by Flygbussarna airport coach free of charge ( * free for children accompanied by a person with a full-paid ticket ).
Skavsta airport has one terminal. A lot of destinations are available from the airport of Skavsta Stockholm, e.g. UK & Ireland, Italy, Germany, Poland, Spain and many others.

  • TRAVEL BY TRAIN
Another way to come to Swedish capital is by railway. Train communication is well organised in Sweden. There are high-speed express trains operating on a certain directions. The Central Station of the city, called T-CENTRALEN or City Terminal, is situated right in the centre of the town. Here at the Information desk you can buy tickets to international or domestic trains. The railway roads are most developed in the south part of Sweden.
The Swedish railway system uses three kinds of trains: InterCity, X2000 and InterRegio. The most comfortable and fastest way to travel is by X2000 train. If you take a trip with children you can choose InterCity. There are playing rooms for children, café and other equipments on the train. All tickets sold are for sitting places.

  • TRAVEL BY BUS
One can reach Stockholm by coach. Coach-Bus connections to other regions of Sweden or to neighbouring countries are very wide. Several companies are operating these lines. Busses go not only to the close neighbours such as Copenhagen, Oslo, Helsinki, but also to Berlin, Rostock, Hamburg, Amsterdam and other destinations.

  • TRAVEL BY SEA
Another way to come to Sweden is by sea. The city is connected with other countries by ferries. Multi-decked ferries of "Tallink Silja Line" and "Viking Line" are operating between Sweden and Finland regularly. All the cabins are made to make your travel comfortable.
