STOCKHOLM
Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, is
built on
fourteen
islands. They are located between Lake Mälaren and The Baltic Sea.
Surrounded by water, the city is often called "The Venice of the North"
and "The Beauty on the Water". Wondering in the narrow streets of Gamla
Stan, one can feel the spirit of middle ages.
Stockholm is one of the most beautiful capitals in Europe
and Scandinavia. The old buildings are mixed with modern-style
architecture. There are a lot of greenery and parks that make the city
of Stockholm almost ideal place for living and travel. A high-class
hotel is also a traditional feature of the Swedish capital. One can
swim and fish in the town's centre thanks to the clean water and
excellent ecology.
Stockholm has about hundred museums. Even a small and not
well-known
museum can be of great interest. Among the best museums of Stockholm
are Vasa Museum, Skansen, Junibacken, National Museum, Moderna Museet,
Armémuseum and Nordiska museet. The city has much to suggest to
its visitors and is fantastic.
Stockholm has two national parks, wonderful
landscapes
and surroundings, beautiful
old buildings and rich museums, unforgettable attractions, excursions,
entertainment and amazing events – all that is waiting for visitors of
this wonderful city in the North of Europe.
Welcome to Stockholm town - the capital of Sweden and Scandinavia!
